Legend Styles

The Legend style determines appearance of a legend and its content.

If there is no suitable legend style on the list, you may create your own one. Select the Other option on the list of the legend styles.

In addition, to create or edit legend styles, you may use Manage styles – Design – Legend styles on the Primary panel.

To create a new legend style:

  1. In the Legend style editor, create a new style by clicking New legend style .

  2. In Renga Legend style, all object types correspond to the object types that are available when modeling, but there are the following exceptions to getting all data from the model:

  3. On the Column tab, in the Available columns window, select necessary parameters, properties and quantities. To select a few items at the same time, use the CTRL or SHIFT keys.
  4. If you select a few object types, in the Available columns window will be shown only the same parameters, properties and quantities of objects. To add different data in one column, add a Common schedule column.

  5. Click Add button at the right side of the window. The selected elements will be shown in the Selected columns window.
  6. Set the order of columns in the Selected columns window with the Move up and Move down buttons at the lower right of the window.
  7. On the Formatting tab, customize the view of each column by alternately selecting them from the drop-down list:
  8. To add a designation in the schedule header, open the context menu in the header cell and select Symbol.

  9. Set up fonts for name, group headers, content, headers, totals and totals for columns:
    • Set the font once for the name, group headers, and data, as the font settings for these legend items are independent of the selected column.

      The group title is formed from the content selected for the grouping in the Representation tab.

    • For each column, set the font for the title, totals, and grand totals.
  10. On the Representation tab, set how the legend will be displayed:
    • when choosing sorting and grouping, keep in mind that the items chosen for sorting cannot be grouped. Select another column for sorting.
    • check if you want to merge the same records.
    • check if you want to display the assemblies content.
  11. Click OK.

Adding Common Column

In order to add a common column for several objects when forming a legend and select what data needs to be specified, do following:

  1. On the Columns tab, click Create.
  2. On the right side of the Add common schedule column window, specify the header of the schedule column and the data display parameters of the schedule column.
  3. Then, in the Specify window select all the object types the properties of you need to display in the column.
  4. To the right of every Object type, specify a property on the list.
  5. Click OK.
  6. The added column is displayed in the Selected columns area. To edit or remove the column, use the Edit and Delete buttons.

Please note, after editing/deleting styles, by clicking OK, all the performed changes will be applied to the related objects permanently.
