Element styles

Element style contains information about the 3D model, allows you to change the overall dimensions of the imported model and its orientation relative to the working plane, materials.

When selecting an object style, you can create a new style if there is no suitable style in the suggested list. Select the Other option in the list of the element styles.

Also, the Element style is automatically created when you import a 3D model in Renga by using the Insert from command, because it is converted to the Element of Renga.

In addition, to create and edit element styles, you may use Manage styles – Element Styles on the Primary panel.

1. In the Element styles editor, create a new style by clicking the New element style button.
2. Set a name of the new style.
3. In the right part of the window, click the Set 3D Model button and select the model.

The following formats are supported: 3ds Max 3DS (*.3ds), LightWave (*.lwo), StereoLithography (*.stl), Wavefront object (*.obj), COLLADA (*.dae), Autodesk FBX (*.fbx), C3D (*.c3d), STEP (*.stp, *.step), IGES (*.igs, *.iges), Parasolid (*.x_t, *.x_b), AСIS (*.sat), JT (*.jt), VRML (*.wrl).

4. Set an orientation of the imported object, then set the rest parameters.

The import assumes that the original dimensions of the model are specified in millimeters, and the initial orientation of the 3D model depends on the software used to create it.

5. On the Properties tab, you may set values of properties, created in the Object properties editor.
6. Click OK.

To save changes in the editor, click ОК. To cancel changes, click the Cancel button.

Please note, after editing/deleting styles, by clicking OK, all the performed changes will be applied to the related objects permanently.
