You can insert a model into a Renga project in the following formats:

• 3ds Max 3DS (*.3ds),
• LightWave (*.lwo),
• StereoLithography (*.stl),
• Wavefront object (*.obj),
• COLLADA (*.dae),
• Autodesk FBX (*.fbx),
• C3D (*.c3d),
• STEP (*.stp, *.step),
• IGES (*.igs, *.iges),
• Parasolid (*.x_t, *.x_b),
• AСIS (*.sat), JT (*.jt),
• VRML (*.wrl).

To import a 3D Model into a Renga model:

1. Place Work Plane on the level you need to paste an object to.
2. On the Primary panel, select the Paste – Insert From....
3. In the bottom right corner of the window, set the file format.
4. Select a model file and click Open.
5. If required, edit the 3D Model parameters and locate it on the level.

In addition, you can import objects created in the listed formats using the Element style parameter of the Element tool.

After inserting, 3D Models are converted into Renga Element.

To paste a link to a 3D Model without converting it to an Element, use the Paste Link... command.

To import 2D DWG, DXF or vector PDF data into drawing or insert as underlay in the 3D View of Renga:

1. Open a tab you need to import data to.
2. On the Primary panel, select the Paste – Insert From...
3. On the list of extensions, select the required extension.
4. Select a file and click Open.
5. In the Page import window, select required page and click OK.
6. If necessary, modify the Scale parameter.
7. Specify an insertion point on the work plane.

The scale calculated in relation to the original size of the imported drawing.

After inserting, 3D models are converted into Elements of Renga. Then, the imported drawing may be edited by Renga tools. For example, you can cut Model lines built by inserting DWG / DXF / PDF and paste into an Assembly style.

To paste a link to a DXF or DWG file into a drawing without converting it to Renga objects, you can use the Paste Link... command.

In order to import tables in RTB format to the Renga project :

1. Open the Project Explorer.
2. On the Primary panel, select the Paste – Insert From...
3. Select a RTB file and click Open.
4. The imported table appears in the Project Explorer.
