Beam

The Beam tool includes the following construction modes:

Automatically by similar;

Line by specifying two points;

Arc by specifying three points;

Arc by specifying start, center, end points;

Circle by specifying a center point and radius.

Beam Parameters:

Beam profile position relative to axis. Each option on the list shows how the beam profile will be located relative to the insertion point on the level's plan or 3D view.

Horizontal offset of beam profile. Horizontal offset of beam profile relative to beam axis. It may assume negative values.

Vertical offset of beam profile. Vertical offset of beam profile relative to beam axis. It may assume negative values.

Beam style. Defines the beam shape, its width and height.

Beam rotation angle. Beam rotation angle in relation to the axis.

Beam start. The shape of beam end face at the start of the beam.

Beam end. The shape of beam end face at the beginning of the beam.

Level. It determines beam level.

Vertical offset. Determines the vertical offset of a beam relatively to the baseline.

Material.

Reinforcement style.

Mark. It appears in the schedules. Necessary for insertion into the drawing.

The baseline of the beam is a line highlighted in yellow, which is displayed when you build or edit beams and columns. The baselines are used to mate the beams and bind the columns to the beams.

If 3D measure mode is selected, the line indicates the actual location of the baseline. If polar or rectangular measure mode is selected, the yellow line indicates the projection of the beam axis to the work plane.

Parameters may be modified both in the process of beam construction and in case of editing. Press ENTER to fix the parameter values.

All the universal operations are available for construction of beams.

In order to modify, copy or relocate a created beam, select it using the Select tool.
