Duct Fitting

The Duct fitting tool is intended to create fittings on ducts or routes to design duct systems.

To create an object:

  1. Click the Duct fitting tool.
  2. Set the Duct fitting parameters:
  3. Duct fitting style. Defines an object category, appearance, overall dimensions, fitting connection type parameters. If there are no any styles applied, the default object appears.

Duct fitting rotation angle. Available for certain types of duct fittings only.

Mark. It appears in the schedules. Necessary for insertion into the drawing.

  4. Specify an insertion point of the accessory on a duct or route.

When placing an eccentric reducer the position of other objects on the route is according to the offset position of the reducer connection point. Flip the route main line and the branches to get the correct objects offset after the reducer.

A fitting divides a duct into 2 objects. After placing a fitting on a duct, the ducts before and after the fitting are edited independently.

All the parameters mentioned above may be modified both before placing an accessory on a working area and after that.

In order to modify, copy or relocate created fitting, select it with the Select tool.

To change the default fitting direction, flip the Route.

Use the Flip option on the shortcut menu to change the fitting position relative to the route.
