Duct Accessory

The Duct Accessory tool is intended to create accessories on routes to design duct systems.

To create an object:

  1. Click the Duct accessory tool.
  2. Specify the Accessory parameters:
  3. Duct accessory style. Defines an object category, appearance, overall dimensions, accessory connection type parameters. If there are no any styles applied, the default object appears.

Duct accessory rotation angle. Available for certain types of duct accessories only.

Mark. It appears in the schedules. Necessary for insertion into the drawing.

  4. Specify an insertion point of the accessory on a duct or route.

An accessory divides a duct into 2 objects. After placing a accessory on a duct, the ducts before and after the accessory are edited independently.

By default, duct accessories have transit ports only. If an end port is specified in the accessory category, a route can be created from the object. To connect an object to the system:

  1. Right-click the object in the 3D view, level's plan or schedule.
  2. Select Select in system > System category name on the shortcut menu.
  3. In the system tab, determine the connection.

If object ports are not connected to the route, then all available system categories are displayed in the context menu. If ports are connected to routes, then only their categories are displayed in the list.

All the parameters mentioned above may be modified both before placing an accessory on a working area and after that.

In order to modify, copy or relocate created accessory, select it with the Select tool.

Use the Flip option on the shortcut menu to change the accessory position relative to the route.
