Elevation

The Elevation designation is intended to create an elevation symbol to represent a building elevation view.

In order to create a new elevation, do the following:

  1. On the Tools panel, click Designation – the Elevation tool.
  2. On the work plane, specify the location point of designation by using object snaps.
  3. Then, specify the view direction. To specify the rotation angle use tracking snaps.

Elevation parameters:

Elevation name.

The parameters may be modified during the construction process and when editing. Press ENTER to fix the parameter values.

In contrast to most objects, the elevation designation is built by point and angle. Use one of the handles to change the view direction when edit an elevation.

Elevation symbol is linked to the working plane. If a working plane is moved to another level, the elevation symbol remains on the working plane. Thus, an elevation may be opened for viewing in any position of the working plane.

In order to see an elevation view, do the following:

  1. Right-click the elevation designation.
  2. On the shortcut menu, click Open.
  3. Select the elevation name tab.

or

  1. Click Open Project Explorer.
  2. Left-click the elevation thumbnail.
